Body camera video shows a Macomb County Sheriff's deputy slap a 14-year-old boy who was in their custody.

The arrested deputies have a combined 26 years of experience with the department.

Prosecutor says alleged slap happened when deputies were transporting the boy to the Juvenile Justice Center on a probation violation.

Two Macomb County deputies are facing charges after authorities say one of the deputies slapped a juvenile while taking them into custody at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center.

During the process of being taken into custody, the male became unruly, hitting his head against a door and a window, a spokesperson said.

Two Macomb County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputies have been placed on administrative leave after they were charged in connection to an incident with a minor.

“Individuals in positions of power, especially those in law enforcement, must be held to the highest of standards," said Sheriff Anthony Wickersham.
