Alberta’s government is investing $26 million to expand the Alberta Newborn Screening Program and advance women’s health research in Alberta.

The Alberta government says it's taking steps to improve the health of women and children by following through on a promise to spend $26 million on research and expanding a newborn screening program.

The cost of refocusing Alberta Health Services is estimated $85 million over two years: $15 million in 2023-2024, $70 million in 2024-2025.
