The move is part of Saudi Arabias efforts to attract tourism and business by easing strict Islamic regulations.

The ultra-conservative kingdom has long banned alcohol, but is trying to liberalize its image.

The store will serve exclusively non-Muslim diplomats. To access liquor, customers will have to register via a mobile app, get a clearance code from the foreign ministry, and respect monthly quotas with their purchases. 

On one hand, New Yorkers want stricter drinking and driving laws. On the other hand, they'd be willing to pack on the pounds if it meant not giving up alcohol.

A list of liquor prices in Delhi and where to find stores selling them has been uploaded online by the Excise Department to help customers locate the newly opened vends in the city.
