A man previously arrested more than 40 times is reportedly accused of assaulting subway station worker who tried to protect passengers from his harrassment.

Suspect Alexander Wright, 49, has a rap sheet of at least 13 prior arrests, including some within the transit system, authorities said.

The MTA is calling on the Bronx District Attorney to request a judge-issued order banning the man who allegedly assaulted an MTA subway cleaner from the transit system for three years, the maximum penalty available under the law.
