Bowdoinham's Town Hall, built in 1823, is no longer deemed safe to use and requires immediate structural upgrades, leaving the hands of Select Board members tied.

The Bowdoinham Select Board reviewed the proposed $3.9 million budget at an April 11 meeting.

As emergency services across the state struggle with staffing and financial hardships, Bowdoinham town officials say their hands are tied after their current EMS provider increased its annual rate by $200,000.

The town will hold a meeting Wednesday, March 29, to discuss the future of ambulatory services.
