The family of a young Escondido woman who died after a rockclimbing fall in Arizona is establishing a foundation in her name.

Kacey Jennings, 30, is accused of capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and theft after Alison Castro was reported missing last year.

Sally Nava Kanarek, 76, was arrested on Jan. 12 by Newport Beach police. Kanarek is accused of stealing more than $90,000 from an elderly adult, who authorities say didn't have the capacity to consent to her actions.
