Alness Parkrun News Today

A close-knit community of runners has paid tribute to a much-loved man who tragically died while participating in an Easter Ross parkrun.

An Easter Ross parkrun has pulled the plug on todays scheduled event due to the weather forecast.

A unicorn, super heroes and a colourful cast of characters are guaranteed at this parkrun.

The runners generally end on a high – and heres what volunteers get out of the weekly experience.

Scores of runners and walkers turned out to help an Easter Ross parkrun mark a milestone in its history at the weekend.

The decision was taken to pull the plug as conditions are dangerous underfoot.

Organisers of the Alness event were happy to welcome runners unable to take part in their usual 5km Saturday morning event in Inverness.

The move followed the arrival of a group of travellers who set up camp in Torvean Park in Inverness earlier this week.
