At a Feb. 2, 2024 arraignment in Williamson, Mingo County, West Virginia, Timothy Kennedy pled not guilty to murder charges in the June 2, 2023 shooting death in Beech Creek, Mingo County, of WV State Police Trooper Cory Maynard. Kennedy was formally arraigned on five charges, including murder, handed down from a grand jury on Jan. 22, 2024. A trial date has not been set.
