Two women journalists in Iran have been sentenced to long prison terms for their coverage of the death of Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish-Iranian woman who died in custody last year. Niloofar Hamedi and Elaheh Mohammadi were given 13 and 12 years respectively for charges including collaboration with the US government and acting against national security. The journalists lawyers have denied the charges.
