(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundations (NNJCF) ArtsBergen initiative joins thousands of arts organizations, programs and communities nationwide to celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month and Discover Jersey Arts Month in the Garden State.  The NNJCF, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, focuses primarily on the arts, civic engagement, education, the environment, philanthropy, and public health.

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- This fall, a range of public art programming will be featured at SACKtoberfest in Hackensack.  This fun-filled festival of art, food, brew, and live music returns to Hackensack, on October 15 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Atlantic Street Park.  The festivities, organized by The Sack Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack, are free and open to the public.

Planning has begun to repair a Highland Park mural celebrating the communitys diversity that was defaced last week shortly after the artwork was done

Thomas Santo, 54, has been charged with bias intimidation and criminal mischief.

A new mural, "Home Is Where We Make It," was installed less than 48 hours before it was defaced twice on April 30, and residents are outraged.
