El Dorado city officials are calling on local businesses, large and small, to jump aboard the 2024 summer youth work program.

The Union County Clerks Office on Wednesday provided a comprehensive list of local candidates for office after leaving several who filed to run in 2024 out on Tuesday.

Roy Bullock Sr. told members of the El Dorado City Council Thursday that he sought the Ward 3, Position 2 council seat because he had a desire to represent Ward 3 residents and their issues and concerns as a member of the governing body.

Five resumes have been submitted by candidates who are seeking to fill the Ward 3, Position 2 seat on the El Dorado City Council.

Ward 3 residents who are interested in serving on the Dorado City Council have until July 24 to submit a resume to Mayor Paul Choates office.

The El Dorado City Council will hold its first regular meeting of the year at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall.

As has become apparent, the El Dorado City Council will not meet this month.
