German furniture brand Hettich Group plans to invest Rs 700 crore in India to expand its manufacturing units, creating nearly 1,000 new jobs. With the opening of a plant in Vadodara and a groundbreaking ceremony for another in Indore, the company will have five manufacturing units in the country. India is Hettichs second largest market after Germany, driven by the growing middle class.

Chiratae Ventures has announced the final close of Growth Fund I at INR 1,001 Cr, at an oversubscription of 34% from the initial target.

The sector-agnostic growth stage fund was oversubscribed by 34%. It will target technology startups looking to secure Series C or later stage funding, as well as new opportunities.
