The fraudulent charge of treason brought against Syrotiuk is aimed at intimidating and suppressing growing opposition among Ukrainian workers and youth to the imperialist-backed Zelensky regime and the escalating war against Russia.

On Sunday, January 21, the Young Guard of Bolshevik Leninists, a Trotskyist youth organization in the former Soviet Union, held an event to commemorate the centenary since the death of Lenin at the age of 53.

On October 15, 2023, the Young Guard of Bolshevik Leninists, a Trotskyist youth organization in the former Soviet Union, celebrated the centenary of the emergence of the Left Opposition with a meeting that was attended by David North, the chairperson of the Socialist Equality Party (US) and the international editorial board of the World Socialist Web Site. 

The series marks an important political development in the fight by the IYSSE to develop a global anti war movement that is rooted in the international working class and the historical perspectives of Trotskyism.

These greetings were delivered by two representatives of the Young Guard of Bolshevik Leninists (YGBL) from Ukraine and Russia to the International Online May Day Rally 2023.

Together, the speakers set out a political programme capable of uniting the international working class and mobilising its immense social power in a struggle against the world’s major corporations and governments.

The meeting to celebrate the anniversary of the youth organization in Russia and the former Soviet Union was marked by a high level of consciousness of the historical and political tasks confronting workers and young people in the fight to build sections of the ICFI.

Hundreds of workers and youth attended the main rally of the SGP in the party’s campaign for the Berlin state elections. The SGP is the only party in Germany calling for an end to the US/NATO war against Russia in Ukraine.
