The election of Whitehouse and Trentalange means women now comprise the majority of the Kennebunk Select Board for the first time in town history.

Kennebunk and other neighboring communities will be electing local candidates and tackling town meeting warrants next week.

Three candidates are vying for two Kennebunk seats on the RSU 21 Board of Directors at the June 14 election.

Voters will settle both races and others on June 14.

For the first time, women are sure to comprise the majority of the Kennebunk Select Board, following the annual town meeting on June 14.

“We need to approve this project so that we will have a safe athletic facility for our students and our community to use," school board chair says.

Fadiman and Nadeau succeed Amanda Oelschlegel and Todd Shea, who both resigned from the RSU 21 School Board in November.

Nadeau will serve on the school board through June, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Arundel resident Todd Shea in November.
