Google is updating devices that use its Google TV operating system to improve performance and storage management.

Google has announced that developers should convert their APK apps on Android/Google TV to the Android App Bundle (AAB) format soon or risk getting their apps hidden from the device.

Developers are expected to switch from APKs to AABs for storage optimization.

Android App Bundles aren't a bad thing for the end-user but there is a chance for Google to get even more control over how apps are distributed.
