The prosecutor who will decide whether to criminally charge the Grand Rapids police officer who shot Patrick Lyoya accepted a political contribution from the officers' union.

An attorney for Lyoya's family says he doesn't see a conflict in the contribution. Some other Grand Rapids community leaders want the prosecutor to recuse himself.

GRPD is withholding his name until next of kin is notified.
