The West Lafayette life sciences company was awarded the $974,349 grant to further the development of a core technology known as Collymer. It can be used to create implantable materials for tissue restoration and reconstruction needs such as breast tissue, skeletal muscle, cartilage and more.

GeniPhys Inc., a life sciences company focused on developing and commercializing a proprietary biopolymer technology developed in Purdue University professor Sherry Harbins laboratory, has been awarded a two-year, $974,349 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Science Foundation.
