Andrews McMeel Universal, the distributor for long-running comic 'Dilbert,' has cut ties with the cartoon's creator after he called Black people a 'hate group' that white people should 'get away' from.

Andrews McMeel Chairman Hugh Andrews and CEO and President Andy Sareyan said in a joint statement that the syndication company was "severing our relationship" with Scott Adams.

In an episode of his YouTube show, Dilbert comic strip creator Scott Adams described people who are Black as members of “a hate group” from which white people should “get away.”

The publisher of a forthcoming book from Adams also said Monday that it would no longer move forward with publishing the title.

‘Some of our commentators were endorsing it. I would have liked us to be stronger in denouncing it, in hindsight,’ he said.
