FLOOD alerts are now in force for both the Chester and Ellesmere Port areas as a result of persistent heavy rain caused by Storm Christoph. The Environment Agency is warning that flooding is possible in the River Dee catchment from Chester to Whitchurch and urges residents to be prepared. A flood alert is also in place for the Wirral catchment which includes Ellesmere Port and specifically the Rivacre Brook area.
