Anne Mitcheltree News Today

Before Jordan Neely was killed by a fellow subway passenger, he was one of thousands of New Yorkers living on the city’s margins. This is the story of his life.

CALLAHAN: What an outrage. Without calling a grand jury, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has indicted Daniel Penny of second-degree manslaughter in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely.

If we're learning anything from the tragic death of Jordan Neely on the floor of a Manhattan F train, it's that the city seems helpless even when it knows exactly which mentally ill homeless most need help.

The internal catalogue held by the NYC Department of Homeless Services details which people are cycling in and out of homeless shelters and mental health treatment centers, a source told The Post.

The reply, written by attorneys Donte Mills and Lennon Edwards, said Penny's words weren't an apology or statement of regret. Instead, they were an attempted character assassination.

A protest shut down part of New York City's subway system Saturday evening as demonstrators blocked the tracks.

Anne Mitcheltree, who was attacked by Jordan Neely in 2021, ripped the city for not forcing the homeless man to get the mental health treatment he clearly needed.
