Efforts are underway at a small northeast Baltimore high school that, at times, has been at the epicenter of tragedy to focus on the "forgotten student."

"We are still losing way too many people to violence," Mayor Brandon Scott said, as Baltimore City tests a pilot program for school-based violence intervention.

Police are still investigating after a 17-year-old died following a shooting on April 16. School officials said Jackson was a student at Achievement Academy.
