Anthony Being News Today

Get ready, monday, power, politics. there is lots of reaction this morning after white house communications director anthony scaramuccis vulgar conversation with "the new yorkers" ryan liz sa. scaramucci insulted top white house staffers, threatened to clean house in response to leaks and he said all of it so crudely that many peoples jaws are still hitting the floor. id love to say mine, but come on, i dont blush that easily. bill cohan is a special correspondent for "vanity fair" and the autho...

And that sort of behavior in any other white house that communications director would no longer be communicating and would have been fired and marched out the toor. he is still here and people in the white house are publicly defending him so proactively. the most interesting question is reince priebus, the chief of staff. hes been isolated for a while, hanging on very tenuously. in some ways its an open question and some of it is up to reince. hes told friends and confidants he wants to stay for...

Problems will be when scaramucci gets his own "time" magazine cover or if it seems hes a little more about himself than the president, which as of now is not the case. >> britd bart is pushing that. scaramucci will be in the headlines. that is a steve bannon wink, wink, nod, nod, and that makes the president upset. do you think, elise, it could go too far and scaramucci could end up on the presidents bad side? ivanka trump, who is focused on her pristine brand, is one of the people who specifica...

Of wanting the job that he has now for a very long time. okay? so the guy that i know, that you know, that an true knows, you know, is smooth, is generally very pleasant to be with, is very bipartisan, but now hes got i think a very different agenda. hes got -- look, he was a banker at goldman sachs, right, anything that people at goldman sachs know is that youve got to, you know, taking care of your clients. his main client now is donald trump. he is trying to do everything he can to take care ...

That b of a, morgan stanley, and citi group have all stopped doing business with hna because the know your customer rule, when investment banks start saying they dont want to do business with a customer or a client because of the know your customer rule, you know theres something up. and this is not necessarily a done deal. i mean, maybe andrew knows something i dont, he probably does. theres a lot i dont know. >> i agree with you. >> but i think this is not as slam dunk as you might think. >> i...

This is a gnat and the only reason it would kind of get approved is because hi former goldman buddy steve mnuchin and his new buddy donald trump want to do this for him. >> say it all goes through, anthony the next chief of staffsome. >> well, you know, weve been talking about this, i have a view ultimately that gary cohn goes to be the fed chair. >> i also share that view. >> if you believe that, then you would -- and you think that priebus -- the thing is, what is priebus supposed to do? this ...

Hna, a chinese conglomerate. andrew, we have to talk about how important this is. anthony scaramucci is looking to sell his company he will pocket $90 million. theres no other bidder. he needs government approval. the journal reported today hn action got turned down for a recent deal. the treasury department oversees this. thats a lot of money. >> but thats why the deal is done. its done because guess who aproves it? the president of the united states. thats how this is ultimately -- >> this is ...

Referred to as his mini-me. the fear is when anthony becomes too big, too famous, but a lot of people inside the white house want bannon and reince priebus out and they have been unsuccessful at convincing the president of that. could anthony scaramucci p the one to do it? >> he has a personal grudge against reince priebus because he leaves reince priebus blocked him from a number of previous posts he otherwise would have been offered inside the white house so hes going after him that deeply ref...

Is confusing me at this point, evan. that is, the earlier reporting had been that this is a laptop computer shared by huma abedin and her now estranged husband anthony weiner. now, your fellow justice correspondent pamela brown got information from humas camp, saying the device supposedly at issue now belonged to anthony, not her. which is it? did she use this computer or not? >> thats one of the mysteries we still, i think, are left to figure out right now, poppy. the fbi started looking at thi...
