Google and Apple have removed two eSIM offering apps Airalo and Holafly from the Indian version of their Play Store and App store respectively following an order from Department of Telecommunications (DoT) last week.

These apps have been blocked  by Apple and Google, purportedly at the behest of the DoT order that found cybersecurity threat lurking upon them.

The apps were removed following instructions from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), as per the report.
