Apple Data News Today

In a letter to the Department of Justice, Senator Ron Wyden said foreign officials were demanding the data from Alphabets Google and Apple. Although details were sparse, the letter lays out yet another path by which governments can track smartphones.

The alerts are known as Apple threat notifications. The company claims they are designed to inform and assist users who may have been targeted by state-sponsored attackers

A new report claims that Apple collects personally identifiable data from iPhone users even when they explicitly ask the company not to.
