Days before Apple warned some users, including opposition MPs in India, of "state-sponsored attackers" trying to remotely compromise their devices, a government advisory had addressed "multiple vulnerabilities" in the company's products.
Apple on Tuesday responded to opposition leaders' claims - that they received messages warning them of "state-sponsored" hackers - and said it "does not attribute the notifications to any specific state-sponsored attacker".
The government on Tuesday hit out at opposition MPs - it dismissed them as "compulsive critics (of Prime Minister Narendra Modi) - who shared messages from Apple warning of "state-sponsored" attackers trying to hack their phones.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday dismissed the allegations in connection with Apple's 'state-sponsored attack' message to some Opposition leaders and said that someone might have played a prank on them.
