The FFA club at Appling Middle in Macon, Georgia is selling plants.

Representative Robert Dickey says he is concerned about school safety and the student's safety but the cameras aren't as useful as they should be.

City aims to have the cameras posted at every private and public school in the community.

While the cameras will be activated next month, they'll first start by offering warnings to drivers going above the limit. Other schools will start ticketing soon

Six students from Bibb County middle schools have each been awarded a $10,000 Reach Foundation Scholarship.

The first round of plants will be cold weather crops, including collards, broccoli, cabbage, snapdragons, mustard greens, and more.

Grow Macon, Inc., an organization with a mission of ending food insecurity, decreasing crime, educating the next generation of gardeners/farmers and re-establishing the lost sense of community among the residents of east Macon, will host a planting session on Saturday, December 9 at a community garden at 1108 Eastview Avenue in Macon.

Georgia schools are starting class again and school zone speed cameras are once again active including in Macon-Bibb County. Tickets are given for speeding.

The cameras outside some Bibb County School's only actively enforce the speed limits on school days when classes are in session.
