Arif Mudgal saw two accidents in Hosa Road area of Bengaluru, which prompted to take measures to fix the pothole problems in the city.

After seeing several accidents in the area, residents of East Bengaluru decided to fix the roads themselves by spending nearly Rs 50,000 from their pockets. The accidents involving some serious ones, they said, were the result of potholes on the roads and certain stretches of crumbled roads. Residents then questioned the purpose of paying taxes if there is no action from officials and MLAs. The residents started the work of repairing the roads from August 14 onwards and it is ongoing.
