According to officials from the traffic police department, during the previous Lok Adalat conducted in February 2023, the court issued summons against the violators

In a statement issued Friday evening, Inspector of Traffic Planning and Administration, Arjun Botre, said that several court cases have been filed for traffic violation since 2020 against drivers.

During the monsoon of 2022, several key roads in the city witnessed massive traffic jams, especially on days that witnessed heavy rains, and during peak hours.

Over 600 traffic police will be on the roads and focus on sensitising rather than penalising residents.
