A huge occasion for locals and visitors alike, the Arklow St Patrick’s Day Parade draws revellers from all over the country with its warm and convivial community atmosphere.

Wicklow’s fearless Breen brothers recently celebrated the completion of their cross-Atlantic row at a homecoming with family, friends and fellow Wicklow Rowing Club members in Ernie’s Bar in Wicklow town.

Arklow councillors have elected to set aside a total of €1,800 in festival funding and explore the possibility of hosting two animated Christmas light shows in Arklow and Rathdrum.

Members of the Arklow Community First Responders gathered at the Bridge Hotel last week to accept an award for Best Entertainment at the Arklow St Patrick’s Day Parade.
