Arth Bound Asteroid News Today

A very small earth-bound asteroid has exploded as fireball mid air before landing in Germany, NASA reports. The U.S. news agency said the 3 feet-sized asteroid disintegrated harmlessly over Germany on January 21, one and a half hour before it impacted Earth's atmosphere.

After 10 months of flying in space, NASAs Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) -- the worlds first planetary defence technology demonstration -- successfully impacted its asteroid target, the agencys first attempt to move an asteroid in space.
