The new letter comes in response to a tempest within the Southern Baptist Convention, where the most conservative segment is pushing for a constitutional amendment to bar churches that ordain women or give women job titles including the word “pastor.”

“That textual evidence strongly supports women preaching the gospel.”

Fortunately, new manifestations of Baptists are creating opportunity for women to serve as pastors.

If I’m being honest, I was a little indignant when I first scrolled down to the “Ds” and realized the church where I serve as associate pastor hadn’t made “the list.”

This misguided attempt to silence women and intimidate local churches stumbles onto the truth: The number of female pastors is increasing. Praise be to God!

The Sabine Parish Sheriffs Office has shared that Arthur Wright, Jr., the man missing from Mallard Road in Sabine Parish, was located shortly before 10AM Thursday, April 1, 2021. A First Responder located his body approximately 100 yards from Mallard Road on a small road/trail behind a locked gate about 1/2 mile from his home.
