On Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearmont School multi-purpose room, the SCSD#3 quarterly listening session will be held, the main topic being the future of the Arvada Elementary School. The Arvada School had been in operation since July of 1892, first as an elementary and later as a high school.

Due to the winter storm, Highway 14-16 between Ucross and the Campbell County Line was closed on Tuesday, and as of 10 a.m. the estimated opening was time is unknown, according to Wydot. Arvada-Clearmont School was first on a two hour delay, and then the school closed for the day, with a make up day to be held on Friday, March 19. Two new board members were sworn in in November, Chris Schock and Trinity Lewis. Items on the agenda included beginning the process to mothball the Arvada Elementary school due to lack of students. The buildings are owned by the state of Wyoming, and State Facilities Commission has a process to go through before the buildings can be mothballed.
