The Viola High School boys’ basketball team had a tough weekend on the road. The Longhorns fell to Jacksonville 61-48. Bergman’s boys were able to invoke the mercy rule, as they routed Kingston 80-36. Elijah Royce led the Panthers with 21 points and 15 rebounds, Asher Fultz scored 21 points, Walker Patton had 12, and Anthony Hodge added 11 points. Bergman improves to 14-3 on the season. WebReady

The Norfork High School basketball teams had a tough night on the road Tuesday, as they were swept at Viola. The Lady Panthers fell to the Lady Longhorns 68-41. Lindsey Browning was Viola’s top scorer with 31 points and 12 rebounds, A.J. McCandlis ended up with 16 points, and Kennedy Renfrom provided 12.
