What seemed to be a young girls imagination was actually something that led to a shocking discovery in their North Carolina house.

A three year old complained about “monsters in the wall” for months before 65,000 bees were discovered in her bedroom.

At one point, the three-year-old’s parents sent her to bed with a bottle of water they said was “monster spray”, the BBC reported.

Mum Ashley Class had been trying to help her daughter sleep, as she kept complaining of hearing 'monsters' moving around in her walls.

When her daughter first started complaining about "monsters" in her bedroom, Ashley Class didn't give it too much thought, thinking her three-year-old had perhaps been imaging things after watching Pixar's Monsters, Inc.
