In a scathing verdict, the Calcutta High Court has directed West Bengal Law Minister Moloy Ghatak to forthwith effect the pending transfer of Alipore Special CBI Judge Arpan Chatterjee, after CBI DIG.
Ghatak reached the High Court within 25 minutes of the order being issued (around 4:30 pm), highlighted his “ill-health” and sought time to implement the order. Justice Gangopadhyay allowed the state law minister to implement the transfer by October 6.
