here at jfk, the protests looks to have grown to about 1,000 people while officials try to figure out just what the rules are. [peter] amid the chaos, president trump is defending his actions. "to be clear, this is not a muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. this is not about religion. this is about terror and keeping our country safe." [ronald] what trump realized was that the disaffected, often non-college, less affluent constituency that was becoming the core of the republican coalition, what they wanted was a government that would take on all the forces in society that they thought was threatening them. it used to be, when people would immigrate to america, they wanted the american dream. they didn't want to speak english and they wanted to assimilate. now we have people that are coming here who want to kill us. the muslim travel ban was a solution in search of a problem that didn't really exist. isis never sent anybody into the united states to carry out an attack. the real problem was people who are american citizens already living here getting radicalized by isis propaganda and carrying out attacks in the name of isis. what we came to understand in the early days

we feel it in our bones. we see the border being overrun. we see crime infesting the city's. we see the federal government making it more difficult for families to make ends meet. what i will do is help restore normalcy to our communities, integrity to our institutions, and sanity to our society. truth needs to be the foundation of everything we do and common sense can no longer be an uncommon virtue. >> jeanine: desantis is now going toe-to-toe with former president trump, but a new fox news poll shows that trump still has a commanding lead for the g.o.p. nomination. florida governor is also facing a hostile media, who are not too thrilled about his candidacy. >> it's a mess. just get out of the race. you are not going to win. nothing is going to happen for him. nothing. >> i think he has a really great chance at becoming the president of florida, but outside of florida, as you say, these are reareally, really unpopular.

and leave young children behind, catastrophically injured service members. we build these mortgage free, smart homes and now we're taking care of and i promise you, we are working tirelessly every single day to make sure that we eradicate homelessness. yes. and i was going to applaud you for that, because there's nothing more depressing than driving by and seeing how many tents are out there and how many of our brave warriors are left on the street. these great veterans who went and fought for us, who risked their lives for us and for whatever reason came back here unable to assimilate back into society. we promise we're not just going to put a roof over their heads. we're going to make sure that they get all the comprehensive services that they need to get back and that they deserve so i really applaud you for for taking on that initiative as well. i had the good fortune of being able to visit afghanistan and to see the sacrifice that our brave men and women actually make to provide our freedoms. i don't take that lightly. see, now, we don't hold any grudge with any new york, boston sports rivalries because of all that you guys do.

any machete-wielding person or you are a machete-phobe. we are in a society where we have to denigrate citizens while holding up people that try to harm you, whether it is criminals and they are being recast as victims, in this case, her, you look at her, and you read about her, and you realize she has been getting away with it forever, right? for so long. and why? because she has terrified people. and how? she exploits nice, scared, cowardly white folks who don't want to appear racist, and they don't want to cross her, that is for sure. but you know what, she crossed a line. if that was not on tape with a machete, this would never have been a problem. you needed to finally get her actions on tape. why does she do even need a machete? she has said, we don't need police, we don't need police, is this protection? who is she protecting herself from? large, i don't know, cucumbers beard what do you use a machete
