captioned by becky lyon. good evening, i m ann notarangelo. a man has been hospitalized with life threatening injuries after being stabbed repeatedly and robbed by a group of young people in delores park in san francisco overnight. don knapp is at the park where neighbors say violence is up. don. reporter: that s right, ann. reports that a man just walking through the park as police say was attacked by a gang of young people, beaten, stabbed and robbed. troubles many people in the neighborhood that say violence is escalating at the park. andy wesley woke up to sirens earlier today then saw investigators chase the blood trail of a stabbing victim. then walking up stores there were cones at the top there. reporter: the male victim made his way over the foot bridge at 19th and church before collapsing. san francisco police spokesman saying the man is hospitalized with life threatening wounds. he says a group of a dozen or more of a group confronted the man. three have b

trooper wesley brown was shot dead just after 12:30 this morning just outside the front door of the applebee s on donnelle drive in forrestville. investigators say at least seven shots were fired. he was shot in the upper body. he was wearing a vest and the bullet missed his vest and hit his basically hit his heart. reporter: wesley brown was a four-year veteran ever the maryland state police force, born and raised in seat pleasant, recently engaged to be married. witnesses say after being shot, brown stumbled back into the restaurant and died in the arms of its other security guard, a retired maryland state police trooper good the senseless killing of trooper brown hurts all of us deeply and our objective is to go ahead and try and find this person that killed our trooper. reporter: investigators say they re looking for this man in the light blue shirt seen here in images from surveillance video taken inside the restaurant. he s a crowning man who was kicked out of t
