Hot Springs Lakeside came into Wildcat Arena and took a pair of 5A South games from El Dorado on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 63-48 in the varsity boys game after the Lady Wildcats fell 64-48.

HOT SPRINGS - El Dorado’s ride home from Hot Springs Lakeside was long and cold Friday night and not just because of the weather. Both El Dorado teams suffered heartbreaking defeats in 5A South action. The Lady Wildcats fell 48-45 in overtime before the Wildcats lost a fourth quarter lead in a 75-74 setback to the Rams.

A cultural celebration at Spanish Oaks Elementary Friday night brought together of hundreds of people to honor the Native American tribes of Nebo School District students and their families.

Zain Iqbal, 13, Ava Allison, 13, and Michael Campbell, 11, of Southside Boxing Academy, competed in the Wexford Box Cup.
