Weve got a winner of the Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights Holiday Art Contest and are pleased to reveal 8th grader Carson Middle Schooler Ava Covington is the winner.

The Carson High School Annual Talent Show was hosted earlier this week by Carson High Schools Future Business Leaders of America students, with cash prizes sponsored by Adams Hub. Funds raised by the talent show go toward state and national competitions.

David Lees 23rd book, "Bluebonnets, Firewheels, and Brown-Eyed Susans, Or, Poems New and Used from the Bandera Rag and Bone Shop," was published recently. Hes been on tour, reading and teaching at the Cliff Notes Writing Conference in Utah and at poetry festivals in Ohio, among others.
