The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has arrested a popular Abuja-based herbal medicine seller, Alhaji Salisu Sani, popularly known as Baban Aisha. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, who made this known during a press briefing in Abuja on Monday said Baban Aisha and other unregistered manufacturers and sellers of unhealthy herbal medicines were arrested on Monday.

This was even as the agency disclosed that it has commenced a crackdown on illegal herbal manufacturers and vendors to control the random use of illicit drugs.
