A discrimination lawsuit was filed against the Waukee School District in Waukee, Iowa, after three Black students claimed they were sent to sit in the

Iowa Civil Rights Commission issued a Black student a right-to-sue letter in September for alleged violations of the Iowa Civil Rights Act.

The suit says members of a high school band color guard were victims of discrimination by white parent volunteers and the school district.

The students asked to ride separately from the parent volunteers involved in a confrontation, but instead were told to ride in back, their suit says
