The Louisa County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing over the removal of a conservation board member who is accused of malfeasance.

The supervisors, who had discussed removing Willson at its June 14 meeting but then decided to table action, cited “false allegations that constitute malfeasance,” as the grounds for Willson’s removal.

According to the earlier discussion during the meeting, the supervisors were apparently upset because of comments Willson, who is currently serving as the LCCB chair, recently posted on the WQAD-TV Facebook page, calling the board "corrupted."

For months, the Louisa County Conservation Board has debated selling the 18-acres, and at May 3's board meeting, Baird decedents asked for the land to remain public.

Board member Elizabeth Kling said she understood people wanted answers to what the board planned to do with Baird Timber, but she felt time will help resolve the situation.

Louisa County Attorney Adam Parsons said he viewed the litigation issue as “potentially imminent” and allowed under the Open Meetings Law and also considered the possible criminal investigation to be covered under the law.
