India News: India's longest rail tunnel on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula rail link was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The tunnel is 12.77-km long and known as T-50. Trains can now run from Baramulla to Sangaldan via Banihal. The Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section is a part of the larger Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula Rail Link project with a total length of 272 km and a cost of Rs 41,119 crore.

The inclement weather is hampering the road clearance operations at the affected areas between Ramban and Banihal, the officials said, advising people to avoid taking the road till further updates
