FORT SMITH -- The School Board put the brakes on possibly changing where Barling Elementary School students will attend high school, despite survey data showing the ideas apparent popularity.

BARLING -- One city director said he feels Barling students are being targeted in a School District proposal to move which high school they attend because they arent in Fort Smith city limits. Another said the academic programs at the new school arent as strong as the one students attend now.

BARLING -- The Fort Smith School District is considering moving the attendance area for Barling Elementary students so they eventually attend Southside High School.
