Fleadhfest has the opportunity to be the most innovative event held in Ireland this year. Sligo has been chosen to host the National FleadhFest in 2021. The event - which replaces Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann next year - could result in a major economic lift for Sligo, which hosted the Fleadh in 2014 and 2015. It is scheduled to take place between August 1st and 9th. As a result of Covid-19, a different approach is needed for 2021 and in response to the virus, it is planned that the national event will be a mixture of actual activities on site, as well as virtually online.
