At the Arabian Travel Market 2021, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) announced over 20 sustainable tourism development initiatives across the emirate marking an investment of Dhs500m, in partnership with RAK Hospitality Holding and RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In a statement, RAKTDA said that the projects center on the emirate’s new destination strategy that focuses on nature, leisure, adventure, accessibility and authenticity.
RAK to invest $136m in sustainable tourism projects
RAS AL KHAIMAH, 3 hours, 17 minutes ago Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has announced over 20 sustainable tourism development initiatives across the emirate, marking an investment of AED500 million ($136 million) in partnership with RAK Hospitality Holding and RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Announced at the Arabian Travel Market 2021, the region’s leading travel and tourism event held from May 16 – 19 in person at Dubai World Trade Centre, the projects centre on the emirate’s new destination strategy that focuses on nature, leisure, adventure, accessibility and authenticity. Appealing to those seeking safe and expansive experiences in the new normal of travel, all projects are purpose built with sustainability standards and processes.
DUBAI: The UAE s northernmost emirate has revealed a 500 million dirhams ($136 million) tourism investment plan to tempt thrill seekers and lovers of the great outdoors.
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority revealed the plans at the Arabian Travel Market which kicked off in Dubai on Sunday.
Some are located at Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak and focus on nature, leisure, adventure, accessibility and authenticity. This multi-million investment plan further demonstrates our resolve and commitment to tourism, despite the global challenges faced this past year that continue to shake our industry today, said Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
