After being postponed one week due to inclement weather, the final of the Wine & Roses Trotting Series was contested Thursday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park with the final going to Stonebridge Strong in first-over fashion for driver Chris Christoforou and trainer Paul Megens.

Round two of the Wind & Roses Trotting Series went postward Thursday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the sequel featured a table-turning triumph by BCs Rose over week-one winner Stonebridge Strong.

The betting public was all over Stonebridge Strong in Thursday’s opening round of the Wine & Roses Trotting Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the Paul Megens pupil didn’t let her backers down.

With the temperatures rising in the Chicagoland area, the racing action heated up as well at Hawthorne as the Night of Champions series races kicked off.
