Crumbl Cookies is accused of violating child labor laws in six states, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Operators of a Utah-based cookie bakery franchise in six states have been fined nearly $58,000 for alleged child labor violations, the U.S. Department of Labor announced Tuesday.

The Department of Labor said 11 Crumbl stores, including four in Utah, allowed young employees — many only 14 or 15 years old — to work more hours than permitted by law or in hazardous or prohibited conditions.
