TESCO has reported rocketing demand for vegetables during the Coronavirus lockdown. Greens such as cabbage, spinach and even sprouts have seen sales spiral as shoppers, with more time on their hands, return to home cooking. Since the first lockdown in March last year its seen demand for leeks increase by 30 per cent, cabbage 25 per cent, broccoli 20 per cent, sprouts 10 per cent, Kale 10 per cent and spinach 10 per cent.
