Elias M. Rodriguez, 25, was sentenced to a six-year prison sentence, with all but 18 months of that time suspended, and two years of probation, after pleading guilty to a Class B charge of aggravated assault.

The 22-year-old victim was allegedly chopped at multiple times by another man with an 18-inch rusty machete.

An Augusta woman was also charged and sentenced in the case involving a police raid of a camper on Blair Road.

The 19-year-old victim told police his "associates would shoot up the place" if police didn't resolve the matter quickly, according to an affidavit filed in court.

Augusta police's work with an unidentified informant led to the raid of a Summer Street apartment and the arrest of two central Maine men on Tuesday.

Law enforcement officers who included city police and agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency made the arrests Thursday at a camper on Blair Road.
